Our 1st Mother's Day
Our first Mother's Day. A lovely day at the Fish Markets with Champagne, White wine, Oysters, Lobster, Prawns....yum! Thanks boys and Dads for making it a great day. We are very lucky!!! The day before Mother's day Louka enjoyed a lovely day at Centennial Park with his Noona and Uncle Tom and feed the ducks. Beautiful weather in May for Sydney!!!!!!!!!! And the boys recently enjoyed their first bath together. It was very cute however and going fine until Manny pulled the plug... These two photos were the only ones we could get with one of them looking at us.

New Zealand Trip 2007
Our holiday to New Zealand was absolutely wonderful. It was so great to spend so much time together – just the 3 of us. Chris and Louka really got to know one another so much more. The New Zealanders are by far the friendliest people in the world. And NZ is possibly the most baby friendly place on Earth. Our trip started in Christchurch where are good friends Nick, James and Pip welcomed us with open arms, home cooked meals and great tour guides for the Christchurch area. After our 3 days in Christchurch we drove up to the Marlborough area where we enjoyed many Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs. We had a little bit of sunshine for our wine tour and farmer markets. We also found a great place to watch Australia win the World Cup in cricket. Although it felt like we were the only people in the whole country watching it.
Our drive up to Nelson and the Abel Tasman via Nelson Lakes was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Louka enjoyed feeding the ducks at the Lakes. We went on a short walk of which Louka fell asleep.
Our final 3 nights in the South Island was land of the Abel Tasman and its surrounds. What a fantastic place. So picturesque! Much of the filming of Lord of the Rings was shot around here. There is something for everyone. From hippies, to trampers/campers, fishing to coffee sipping and strolling. We could have easily spent a few more nights here. And certainly when the kids are older we will return to this beautiful place for some kayaking, tramping and camping. The beautiful Wellington was our last stop before heading home. We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day on our arrival so that called for a beer at the Mac Brewery on Lambton Quay harbour. Louka was great, he went to sleep and let Mummy and Daddy relax. Cuba St, Courtney Place, Lambton Quay, Te Papa Museum….so many great things not to mention the Waratah’s victory win over the local Hurricanes. Louka was great. He watched the first 15 minutes and then peacefully nestled into my arms to sleep. And doesn’t Australia have something to learn about Rugby? The Kiwis sure know how to put on a Rugby event. It was like Medieval times, all marching there as one, DJs out the front, drumming, fireworks and even when their team lost they were such great sports. Wow this place is amazing. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
